I seem to recall the documentation for the MP2k mentioning that there
was no need to turn off the Newton when plugging in the dongle with
the keyboard attached. I know I got that somewhere "official" and I
did it many a time. I no longer have a dongle, using the SER-001,
which doesn't work that way. But in any case, I've done this many
times without problem. In fact, it spoiled me, so when I got the
SER-001, I had a hard time remembering.
